The energy consumption of this LED 5W R7s 78mm dimmable replacer is more than 85% lower than the original halogen R7s rod. You do not need to replace this dimmable LED lamp for the time being, because it has a much higher number of burning hours than the halogen variant. In addition to an energy saving of about 85 percent, the lamp does not get hot (a normal halogen rod lamp can above 1000 degrees Celsius) and it lasts considerably longer.
