Handmade on the Heath

We live in a tranquil part of Sussex, surrounded by vineyards and farmland called North Heath, where inspiration and creativity is easy to find. And so ""Handmade on the Heath"" got its name.

I've always enjoyed anything creative, with friends joking that my craft room is stocked like a shop. I just love trying my hand at everything! We definitely are a crafty family with my mum also able to create anything she sets her mind to. I remember spending holidays as a child at my Grandma's studio for craft classes with friends where we made from teddy bears to quilts!

I reach for my crafts any chance I get and me, and a very crafty friend even did kids craft classes for the local Hobbycraft store a few years ago in our spare time. It was lovely seeing the kids so happy doing crafts.

Adding handmade gifts (especially rainbows) to kids birthday presents has always made me happy. Everyone always asks if I can sell them but when a local village shop asked, Handmade on the Heath was born!

Crafts gives me calmness in my very busy life of being the mum to 3 girls and 2 crazy Australian Shepherd dogs! We are blessed to live where we do and I'm very lucky to now be able to do what I love after leaving a very busy London job when we moved here a few years ago.
