Make sure your nipple is dry before applying a clean compress. If your nipples are irritated, apply a nipple cream first. 2. Place the nursing pads in the cup of your bra. Make sure the compress is placed between your chest and your bra, as centrally on your nipple as possible. The washable breast pads do not have an adhesive strip, like many disposable breast pads. 3. Reusable breast pads are usually thicker than disposable ones. They can therefore stand out more if you wear thin clothing. You can also choose to wear a padded bra. 4. Change the nursing pads when they feel wet and put them in the laundry net provided. Do not leave wet pads in a closed bag for too long.
