Risk Shadow Forces is a strategy board game for 3-5 players ages 13 and up. We are in 2050 and the world is not what it should be. The tides whip the shores, shattering everything within reach. Hurricanes appear out of nowhere and destroy entire cities while out-of-control firestorms tear apart almost every continent. Viruses rage out of control. Amid this chaos, nefarious factions are working in the shadows waging disinformation campaigns and mobilizing mercenaries to harvest a mysterious new energy resource of incalculable power. These factions, led by ruthless warlords, fight for power and control, but they also simply fight for the fate of humanity. The shadow conflict begins. RISK Shadow Forces is a Legacy style board game. You'll write on your game, tag it, put stickers on it, and even throw away parts of it. Every game played will change every future game. All players shape the evolution of their world; its history, its cities, even its factions and how they fight. Cards and stickers will come into play. Unlock new rules and watch events unfold with every game. There will never be two identical games. The game includes four sealed envelopes and a sealed container. You will be prompted to open these envelopes as you play your campaign missions in order. Warlords have appeared not only to lead the various factions, but also to participate in secret missions. Each of these secret missions is a squad-level skirmish game that will have a direct effect on the world map in some undetermined secret locations.
