Backed with heavy Italian towelling and a layer of wadding sandwiched between the two, they are available in slate grey linen and hand printed with a pretty shoal of silvery fish. Beautifully finished with a matching linen bias and a single line of stitching. Once the scene of a very busy and lucrative pilchard industry, fish were stored and preserved in ‘Pilchard Palaces’.
