The illustration “The Tiger and the Dragon” is a personal work produced in 2019 by David Sossela. A lover of oriental culture, he enjoys representing certain key figures. In this illustration he wanted to embody one of the principles of the philosophy of the Tao: the duality of the universe, with two forces which are opposed in essence and which complement each other to form a balance. In Chinese mythology, these forces can be embodied by Ying and Yang but also by the tiger and the dragon which are presented as perfectly complementary entities.
