
Born in Normandy in 1981, François RAVARD completed a school cycle in Rennes with a Bac S, before obtaining a diploma in advertising graphics. Since his beginnings, he has published around twenty comic strips and children's albums, with Futuropolis, Gallimard, Flammarion, Glénat, Casterman... He received, among other things, a special mention from the thriller jury at the Angoulême 2012 festival for the album The fault of the Chinese ”(with Ducoudray, Futuropolis editions), or the nugget Fiction Junior at the 2021 Montreuil festival for Les filles montent pas si usual high (with Alice Butaud, Gallimard editions). At the same time, he regularly contributes to the review Bastille, to 1 Hebdo, as well as to the magazine Fluide Glacial... Since 2017, Glénat editions have also published his collections of drawings combining humor and poetry on the theme of the sea, (such as Vague d'amour, released in 2021) with which he opened a gallery in Dinard, where he resides today. .
