Improntabarre is
“A place of ideas, dreams and utopias projecting into reality, where the performer’s simple but decisive gesture is part of the creation process”.
The name, as the logo, is a mix of two concepts: serial production and handicraft. Barcode, typical of an industrial production and fingerprint, to highlight that craftsman is there, in every phase of object manufacturing.

Andrea Branciforti, Ceo of Improntabarre Handcraft & Design laboratory, today coperates with a net of craftsmen to produce high quality objects. The brand, originally born as contemporary ceramic design collection, since 2014 has also been a projecting studio. He was curator of the design section of Biennial of Ceramics and Landscape Architectures in Caltagirone (2014/2015). Selected by the Design Observatory of the Association for Industrial Design for Index 2015, with the project Urban design for tile, tiles in lava stone with graphic reliefs in ceramics. He has cooperated to installations and projects with architect Ugo La Pietra. He designed and made the mascot of Farm Cultural Park (Favara) and of the event Fuorisalmone in Milano; he is partner of Accademia Abadir and he has been in charge of the course of Culture of design at the Accademia Harim; he has been cooperating with Studio Martinelli-Venezia for the installation entitled “the hill of vases”; he designed the collection “Legami” for Moak s.p.a, selected for the award “Golden Compass” 2020; with the company Pietracolata he has signed the projects “Casting and Agathe”, tablemats in lava stone; in 2018 he designed for the company Timelam a collection in laminam; in 2019 he designed a limited edition plate in laminam, for the company Distefano. Since 2019 he has been collaborating with companies such as Escooh and Orolavico.
He creates curious objects which try to grasp the moment in an always racing society, using and innovating ancient materials, processed also with handcrafted instruments and techniques.
