This White Juju hat was handcrafted by the Bamiléké people of Cameroon. Also known as a Tyn hat, this ceremonial headdress was traditionally worn by tribal chiefs or royal families. Nowadays, Juju hats are increasingly popular as a distinctive wall decoration. Authentic Juju hats have been constructed ingeniously - feathers woven on wooden sticks and held together by a black bandage in tissue, and woven on a grass base - allowing to fold and unfold. A small rope is also included to secure the Juju hat when closed. DIMENSIONS Diameter when open 80cm
