Spring Vase

The Primavera vase is inspired by the Art Nouveau style of Barcelona. It has been made with the "trencadis" mosaic technique invented by the famous modernist architect Antoni Gaudí, as well as with ceramic. For its design we have chosen green and orange tones that remind us of flowers and nature. The floral pattern tiles used for this piece are originals from the modernist period. We rescued them in 2005, from a house that was going to be demolished in the municipality of El Figaró (Barcelona). We use most of these tiles to cover a wall, but some of them were broken. Still, the we decided to save. Fifteen years later, we have decided to give them a new life in this design.
