Ubbink's pond substrate is an ideal, nourishing green substrate that gives your oxygen-releasing plants a natural boost in ponds with good water quality, e.g.g. without algae and with enough carbon dioxide. The growing medium has a porous structure that stimulates the growth of nitrifying bacteria, these bacteria are necessary to provide oxygen-enriching plants with nutrients and carbon dioxide (CO2) to stimulate their growth and increase the amount of oxygen produced. Always use a planter that is large enough!
