A tribute to the influences which have tinged the great routes of commerce with their mixed riches. During her travels, Christine Delpal, the creator of Karawan, likes to mix her inspirations from everyday life with those from the discovery of the collections of ethnology museums. We can guess how great civilizations inspired this collection of brass jewelry, mixing past and present to defy borders. EXPERTISE In Jaipur, the jewel city of craftsmanship in Rajasthan, jewelers number in the thousands. Each workshop develops specific know-how; often in complementarity with others. Abishek runs a small jewelry production unit in Jaipur with around twenty people, with exceptional talent, particularly focused on the creation of traditional jewelry in metals and precious stones. Its workshop meets BIT labor standards and guarantees complete traceability on all processes and metals used. This “Arkeos” collection was born from the close encounter between Christine Delpal, the creator of Karawan, and the openwork knowledge of expert hands, heirs of the Mughal art of chiseling patterns. A creative exchange between 2 cultures, 2 perspectives rich in their differences, for a collection that builds bridges between East and West. COMPOSITION An alloy of copper and zinc, free of nickel.
