The events had a significant impact on the manufacturing sites: most of old Aleppo, where the historic soap factories were located, was destroyed. However, new means of production have been organized to allow the people of Aleppo to continue to promote the economy of olive growing by continuing the production of soap. Our partner, part of whose family remained in Aleppo, was able to reconstitute another technical team and reorganized an artisanal factory 70 km north of Aleppo, in Turkey. The same climate specific to the region allows the soap to mature there in the best conditions. We can thus secure production and its delivery, allowing Aleppines to remain close to their families.
