Beautiful loose-fitting yak wool scarf, made of at least 80% yak wool, in combination with cotton. Handmade in Nepal on small scale projects. Lovely as a warm scarf in winter, or as a warm blanket on the couch. Yak wool is soft, supple and very warm. The wool is made from the fine, warm-insulating undercoat of the yak, an Asian highland cattle. The cattle are common in the Himalayas where they are kept by people from northern China, Mongolia, Tibet and Nepal. The scarves are very light in weight and that makes wearing very comfortable. In addition, yak wool does not sting and fluff. Due to the high quality, these scarves can be worn for years. Each scarf is unique and the photos give a good indication of the color of the scarf. Please note that there may be slight color differences as it is a hand woven product.
