Beautiful loose-fitting yak wool scarf, made of at least 80% yak wool, in combination with cotton. Handmade in Nepal on small-scale projects. Wonderful as a warm scarf in the winter, or as a warm blanket on the couch. Yak wool is soft, supple and very warm. The wool is made from the fine warm insulating undercoat of the yak, an Asian highland cattle. The cattle are common in the Himalayan mountains where they are kept by people from northern China, Mongolia, Tibet and Nepal. The scarves are very light in weight and that makes them very comfortable to wear. In addition, yak wool does not sting and does not fluff. Due to the high quality, these scarves can be worn for years. Each scarf is unique and the photos give a good indication of the color of the scarf. Please note that there may be small color differences because it is a hand-woven product.
