"The Banjara" used to be a nomadic people who now live as farmers and gypsies in northern India's villages. The women are known to this day for the most intricate and magnificent embroidery in all of India. Some of the materials used from the provinces of Gujarat and Rajasthan are over 50 years old. The bag was bought with great attention to detail and in colorful splendor under fair working conditions and, due to its long history, may show small irregularities and wear.
