Marcel braided rattan armchair

The Marcel braided rattan armchair, here in its low back version, is THE emblematic model of French rattan. Very popular in our countryside in the early 1900s, it was sold at the time by peddlers who went from village to village. Light, robust, and inexpensive, the woven rattan armchair was sometimes the only element of comfort in modest homes: for knitting, smoking, listening to wireless, reading by the fire, or chatting under the apple tree... Comfortable, simple and robust, it remains very current. The Marcel woven rattan armchair can be used as an occasional armchair, but its seat height means it can also be used around a dining table with an occasional cushion. Maison KOK is quite proud to market its Marcel braided rattan armchair for four generations! the Marcel braided rattan armchair is not a garden armchair. Its structure in natural rattan, a solid wood more resistant than another, but which remains a natural wood, is not designed to withstand prolonged exposure to the sun or to bad weather.
