This bean comes from the coastal region of Malabar in India and has undergone the so-called 'Monsooning' process. When shipping coffee beans to Europe, the coffee beans were exposed to severe weather conditions and had developed a strong characteristic flavor on arrival. To recreate this taste, the beans are now exposed to the elements in highly ventilated department stores on the coast of India's Malabar region. After two to three months of this so-called 'Monsooning' process, the bean has developed its characteristic taste.
