Goats - SaskiaIt may not surprise you that Saskia used to attend the Art Academy. It seems an effortless process for her to transform photographs of animals, toys or other interesting objects into abstract yet recognizable works full of color. While painting she comes completely to herself. When she's not working in the studio, she's at home. She has piles and piles of work full of color and life. It is impossible to choose a most beautiful work, but we thought the shapes and colours of these skinny goats from India came together very nicely. Art Socks x REAKT These limited edition socks are part of a unique collaboration between Art Socks and REAKT, an organization within the mental health care sector that helps people with a psychological or addiction background through creative and therapeutic projects. Together we selected three works of art, including this work by Saskia, and translated them into our socks. Support a good cause By purchasing these socks you support a special initiative. For each pair sold, €1.50 will go to a new art project for young people within mental health care, organised by REAKT and Youz. This project offers young people the opportunity to stimulate their personal development through creative workshops.
