Let me introduce myself, Anne-Claire Rothureau, I am the creator of La petite Eugènes, stylist and embroiderer I chose to work with second-hand clothes and give them new life through embroidery. I have long sought meaning in my profession in fashion in view of the overconsumption of clothing, but today I offer a new look at clothing.
I'm going to tell you about my journey, I arrived in Paris to go to fashion school 10 years ago. In this school, I learned all the knowledge necessary to create your own brand and become an artistic director. After this school, I started working for Petit Bateau then Du Pareil au meme, the domain of children. But I realized that I didn't want to be pigeonholed as a child stylist. So I continued on my way and I learned art embroidery thanks to the town hall of Paris. I then discovered another world, I worked for big luxury houses like Chanel or Yves Saint Laurent as an embroiderer. It was a very nice experience but I did not feel completely in my place.
I then questioned many things (thanks to the confinement) and I decided to combine all my knowledge to create my own brand. I wanted a job that made sense, stayed in fashion but without having a degrading impact on our environment and above all I wanted to embroider and create useful products.
The second hand seemed obvious to me, creating embroidery on clothes that had a first life and deserve to have a new one. Embroidery as a gift. A know-how that can be worn every day.
