Bowed Empire Lampshade

Introducing our '18 inch Scallop Bowed Empire Vintage Lampshade. Our hand sewn lampshade is made using the gorgeously vibrant Liberty London Fabric 'Arboretum Valley' a tana lawn cotton. This fabric is discontinued making this lampshade one of a kind! The design was inspired by a combination of archival landscape artworks and impressionist paintings from the early 1900s, this arboretum of Art Nouveau-style trees creates a vibrant camo of pattern and colour, interlaced with moons and stars to form a magical night-time scene. Each panel was cut from a template and hand stitched to the frame, and unlike many other lampshades this is fully lined, hand stitched into place on the large bowed empire frame, and it has the benefit of hiding the frame to which it is stitched. It is balloon lined using a vibrant shimmering variating tonal fabric which reflects the light, creating a gorgeous glow when lit. it is finished with muted gold 15cm fringe and matching braid, It would make a stunning focal point in any home. This lampshade can be used with a Spider fitting for a pendant/ceiling lampshade depending on the height of your fixtures and fittings but would probably be better suited to using a shade carrier for a standard lampshade. (I can help advise with size of shade carrier needed and can provide.) Bulb: The fabric has been treated with fire retardant and is safe to use with a low energy lightbulb. One only avialable!
