Cactus - VATRICANIA GUENTHERII D17 EARTH

The Vatricania Guentherii is a very decorative candle cactus which forms erect branches 10 cm wide and 2 m high, covered with prickly down and short, dense and golden hairs. This variety is native to Bolivia. Initially columnar, it then develops a more bushy shape from its base. For the most patient, you will discover very curious banks of reddish-brown hairs from which several dozen large creamy yellow nocturnal flowers appear in summer. EXHIBITION & MAINTENANCE These varieties thrive in light or partial shade in well-drained, sandy, rich, non-limestone soil and, above all, very dry in winter. Ideal for your living rooms. They should be grown in pots outside the Mediterranean region. Their resistance ranges from 0 to 40°C. Spring/Summer: moderate watering once or twice a month. During these sunny months, they will appreciate a supply of natural fertilizer to encourage their flowering, from February to August. Autumn/Winter: significantly reduce watering, once a month and always in small quantities. In winter, keep them away from radiators.
