On the first day of school, Alice sees a small wild cat through the classroom window who invites her to follow him. Like a cheeky adventurer, she slips out the window and sets off on a wild goose chase. Meanwhile, the teacher states the class rules, which Alice and her cat friend seem unwilling to respect. In this slightly impertinent album, we have the pleasure of finding the characters from the beautiful escape. After Magali Dulain, it is Bérengère Mariller-Gobber's turn to offer the softness of her colored pencils to the story of Maylis Daufresne. Alice's carefree attitude invites us to question the freedom of children, but also danger and obedience. Playing truant is the opportunity to live, for the duration of an album, this dream of freedom: going out the classroom window and going on an adventure.
