Le Fumoir Saumurois was born from the meeting of culinary passion and entrepreneurial spirit. Founded by two partners in Maine-et-Loire, one of whom already smoked various foods for his own personal pleasure, the brand was born after a conclusive first test: a smoked olive oil, original, surprising, and immediately appreciated by their loved ones. The idea was simple: to offer artisanal smoked products capable of enhancing everyday dishes without distorting them, while keeping the price affordable.
Based near Saumur, we wanted to anchor our name in our region. We cold smoke with beech wood in our own artisanal smokehouse, and we are continually developing new species to enrich the aromatic profiles. Our flagship products? Smoked olive oil, smoked Guérande salt and our smoked Provençal herbs: three simple, natural products with a powerful taste, carefully made from raw materials from small local or family producers.
Our goal is to enable everyone, from the curious cook to the demanding gourmet, to add a touch of character and originality to their recipes. Our products appeal to both restaurateurs and families, and even children love them in soups and salads. We also had the pleasure of collaborating with a Michelin-starred chef, who incorporated our smoked oil into several of his dishes.
