Le Ptit Van Français 1968 is a French brand that manufactures in France! Le Ptit van Français offers ethical, responsible and sustainable clothing and accessories.

When it all started:
In 1992, two students in Lyon met, one in an arts school and the other in a sports school.
Children of the 70s, lovers of nature, travel and sports, they founded their little tribe of 3 children, then their 4th, born deaf, was adopted in Vietnam.
It was in 2021 that Cyril and Véronique, two true sewing and “handmade” enthusiasts, created Le ptit van Français.

Why made in France?
“In order to create jobs and rediscover know-how, all our products are made in France. Installed in the Lyon region, most of the manufacturing steps are carried out in the Auvergne Rhône Alpes region: conception, design, patronage, certain weaving and knitting materials, assembly, screen printing and embroidery. Local manufacturing also reduces the carbon impact linked to transport. Example: Our totebag travels only 195 km from weaving to its final packaging! »
“Particularly sensitive to disability, we are happy to work with DSI Auvergne Rhône Alpes, which welcomes 30 workers with disabilities. Made in France is also for us a social commitment and a guarantee of quality. »

What actions for the planet?
“The consumer system has become anything but sustainable for the planet. Imbalances in this system are harmful to our health and our environment. We have therefore chosen to favor the short circuit, the use of cotton from organic farming, and recycled fabrics. Our product labels and packaging are made of kraft made from 70% recycled and 100% recyclable cardboard. We send our invoices by email to reduce the consumption of paper and ink. We offer long-lasting and much cleaner collections. »
“Also, we support the “Planting for the future” endowment fund. It is a general interest organization that works for the renewal and sustainable management of forests in France. »
