Mathieu Barret "Cuvée Petit Ours" - Côtes du Rhône wine - Rhone Rouge wine - Vintage 2020 - ORGANIC Matthieu Barret's Petit Ours cuvée is a fruit wine created from Syrah vines located on fairly deep clay-limestone soils. The grapes are completely destemmed to give the wine maximum suppleness. Fermentation and aging are carried out in concrete vats to preserve the purity of the fruit. Petit Ours is the nickname given to Matthieu Barret for a few years. It is therefore logical for Matthieu to produce this cuvée full of fruit and delicacy. The wine is almost free of sulfur and has an admirable stability, like all the cuvées produced by this great winemaker. A real treat ! On the nose, the wine develops notes of red fruits, black pepper, liquorice as well as lovely touches of curry and prunes. The palate is caressing and fresh at the same time. The structure of the wine is perfectly balanced and the fruit crisp. The biodynamic work really brings a lot of energy and depth to this “small” cuvée. The ideal wine to enjoy with friends.
