All the planets we cross are dead

THE MONSTROUS PARADE Paris, mid-1970s. Tristan is destined for a career as a classical percussionist when he attends a rock concert. A revelation. He became a drummer for a group, then joined that of Jérémy and Charles. The Monstrous Parade ends up landing a contract with Euterpe, an independent record company. The album is well received, but dissensions appear within the group. The tours wear out, drugs are everywhere. While success is near, slippages multiply. In this changing world, will Tristan be able to pursue his ideal? A CHANGING WORLD Music makes it possible to tell the transformations of the world, here from the 1970s to today. Or how, in the 1980s, politics capitulated to the economy, the market imposed its law and mainstream culture devoured the margins, stifling any alternative. Struck before others by the technological upheavals that have shaped our present, the recording industry illustrates the brutality of change, which Tristan strives to resist. PLAYLIST All the planets we cross are dead is also a tribute to rock. There are many figures such as John Cale, David Bowie, Daniel Darc, Johnny Marr. Its soundtrack is composed of imaginary pieces but also very real ghost tracks (pieces hidden on an album) which are listed at the end.
