Terrific grass seed mixture. Designed to give quick establishment for lawns and landscape projects etc. - Fast germinating grass seed to provide good coverage - Creates a strong and durable lawn or landscape - Economical solution for large landscape projects - Contains perennial ryegrass and strong creeping red fescue - Can also be used as grass for animals - Sow at 25-50 grams per sq/m - 20kg covers 400-800sq/m COVERAGE & GUIDANCE: SOWING - 1KG - 13.00m2 (Approximately) OVER-SEEDING - 1KG - 20.00m2 (approx.) Remove the top layer of old grass, remove weeds, stones and debris. Fork and rake out level to finish. The soil will need to be firm, you can do this by walking over firmly, this will need to be raked again. Finally, rake in a granular fertiliser and allow 3 days before sowing HOW TO SEED: Mark out the area to be sown using wooden stakes into square areas. (approx. 25-50g per sqm) Scatter evenly over the marked out surface. Rake the seeds into the soil, then sprinkle with water keeping the soil moist, this will need to be watered daily which will result in germination of the seeds. AFTERCARE: It is important not to walk on the soil. Water daily especially in dry spells. You will need to protect the seeds from birds by using a floating garden cover or fine netting. Weeds will start to grow with the grass, these will need to be weeded carefully by hand. If you can pull on the grass without the turf lifting, your lawn is ready for its first cut at the highest setting. The grass should also be 5-8cm high as this will encourage the grass to grow more shoots from the base and thicken the lawn.  This can now be carried out for the next 4 cuts.
