The LoLA sketchbooks contain information about art styles, artists and drawing ideas. But first and foremost they are made of very special water-colour paper that allows you to use all the wonderful art materials you have at home: markers, pencils, oil pastels, chalks, paints, collage materials and so on, in order to create amazing works of art. In this sketchbook we look at a few artists’ imaginings of mythical beasts and wild animals. At Pablo Picasso and his interest in the Minotaur and bulls; at Karel Appel and his child-like, mixed-up animal creations; and at Henri Rousseau’s tiger, a wild and exotic creature that he had never actually seen in the flesh! Finally, we’ll take a look at some legendary dragons from different cultures around the world. - 21 pages of prompts and ideas to practice art and create masterpieces - Introduces children to Pablo Picasso, Karel Appel and Henri Rousseau - 17 x 30cm, water-colour paper - You will need materials at home (chalks, pens, paints etc) to complete sketchbook
