Armissan is a French commune located in the department of Aude, in the Occitanie region, in the south of France. It is located about 10 km from the city of Narbonne and near the Mediterranean Sea. The town of Armissan is made up of several hamlets and villages, such as Prade, Petit Roubia, Grand Roubia, Plaine and Mas. It has about 2,000 inhabitants. The Armissan region is known for its wine production, in particular for its red and rosé wines. The vineyards of the commune are located on clay-limestone soils and are exposed to the Mediterranean sun. The Armissan winegrowers notably produce wines under the "Corbières" appellation. Armissan is also known for its 12th century Romanesque church, dedicated to Saint-Étienne.
