This poster pays homage to the Phare du Bout du Monde, an unusual and poetic construction that seems to float on the ocean, facing La Rochelle. Inspired by an emblematic Patagonian lighthouse, this replica was inaugurated in 2000 thanks to the enthusiasm of navigator Philippe Jeantot and the support of the city. EBuilt on stilts off the coast of Les Minimes, the lighthouse is not accessible to the public, which reinforces its mystery and its power of imagination. It silently watches over the entrance to the port, like a discreet but meaningful landmark for lovers of the sea. Lotza chose to represent him alone, surrounded by a living, almost agitated sea, under a golden light that evokes dawn or dusk. This special atmosphere invites contemplation and escape. In this composition, there is no artifice: only a structure of wood and metal that defies the elements, and a feeling of infinity. The artist delivers here a peaceful but powerful vision, witness to the intimate link between La Rochelle and distant horizons. The Lighthouse at the End of the World not only guides boats, it reminds everyone that borders are only starting points.
