Vinya Mas del Xes Grenache red wine

75cl bottle \n \nThe vineyard of Mas del Xes, planted in the famous Priorat llicorella soil, is located near the town of Poboleda, 30 km from the Mediterranean Sea. This vineyard experiences an extreme change in weather between day and night. The days are hot and arid followed by cool temperatures at night due to its location in relation to the sea and an elevation of between 400 and 500 meters. Mas del Xes Garnacha grapes are the warmth of flowers and the freshness of the breeze at the same time. \n \nThe first selection of the grape is made in the field, leaving any unsuitable fruit in the vineyard. The grapes are then sorted by hand. All batches are kept cold for 2-3 days before beginning a slow fermentation in barrels and stainless steel tanks. Gentle movements are applied several times a day in the 600L tanks and barrels. The macerations last a long period, more than 30 days to achieve optimum intensity and tannin extraction. The skins and rapa that are pressed very gently. The wine returns to the original maceration barrels for aging. New, 1-year-old French oak barrels are used for 18 months to house the wine before bottling, without fining or filtering. This wine is rare and unique, mature and with a singular expression, an authentic Grenache from Priorat. \n \nScore: not available.
