Fragrance - Crozes Hermitage 2021 - Red Wine

APPELLATION AOP Crozes-Hermitage SITUATION This appellation is cultivated in 11 communes of the Drôme, left bank of the Rhône, at the level of the 45th parallel. Our grapes come from the south eastern part of the appellation. VINEYARD AND TERROIR The Syrah vines are planted on stony land on the large plateaus of Crozes-Hermitage, which are quite dry and swept by the mistral. GRAPES Syrah (100%). ELABORATION The grapes are 100% destemmed and placed in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats to macerate for around 17 days with only pumping over. The wine is matured in vats until bottling 1 year later. TASTING A wine with floral aromas that mingle with notes of small red fruits. Very expressive on the nose, it is fresh and elegant on the palate. SERVICE AND AGREEMENTS 16°C, a little cooler than the southern crus. On various daily dishes, a nice piece of grilled meat.
