Fragrance - Vacqueyras 2021 - Red Wine

APPELLATION AOP Vacqueyras SITUATION This wine comes from plots located on the plain of Vacqueyras, and are exposed due west. VINEYARD AND TERROIR The Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre vines have an average age of 35 years and are planted on well-drained alluvial and sandy soils. VARIETALS Grenache noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre. ELABORATION The grapes are 100% destemmed and placed in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats to macerate for around 24 days with two rackings at the start of fermentation, then two pumping-overs per day. 60% of the cuvée is aged in vats, and 40% in 450L barrels of 1 and 2 wines, for a period of 12 months, before being blended with the vat part. TASTING Nose of great finesse, mixing notes of red fruits, figs and sweet spices. The palate has great elegance, a pretty frame of red fruits and tannins of great finesse. SERVICE AND AGREEMENTS 17-18°C to let all its complexity express itself. Ideal with a rib of beef or a maitre d'hôtel rib steak.
