Ashley A rigid hoop of beads made from resin hardened recycled paper Weight: 5g Hooks in nickel free, lead free, and cadmium free steel Designed and handcrafted from discarded materials by a social cooperative of mothers in the Visaya Islands of The Philippines. The cooperative provides a sustainable wage and other benefits to support education and a more stable home life for the future of their children. The nature of the source material and hand crafting means no two pieces are ever alike, making them completely one of a kind. All the beads are made from recycled paper dipped in a resin and dried 3 times. Although this makes the beads durable and water resistant, they are not waterproof. We do not recommend that they are worn in the shower or while swimming. They are likely to survive moderate rain fall.
