They are obtained in a fair way, with respect for nature and people. Ask us for transparent documentation on this! For example, our Shea butter is picked from the wild by women from Ghana. They receive a fair salary from The Savannah Fruits Company. The women pick the nuts, roast, grind and knead them, and fill the boxes and drums. By purchasing our Shea Butter from them, we support their community with additional income. But it doesn't stop there for us. We like to be consistent in our love for people and the planet. We therefore also make conscious choices in the field of packaging. An airless bottle was a necessary requirement for us: this way no contamination can get into the bottle and we protect our customers with sensitive skin. Because we also wanted an environmentally conscious option, we opted for a bottle made of recycled ocean waste plastic (OWP). Each piece of OWP packaging removes 4 plastic bags from the ocean and rivers! We also support the beautiful ReSea Project and contribute to a plastic-free ocean. Finally, our labels and 100% recycled and FSC cardboard boxes are folded and glued with great love by a social customization company that offers employment to skilled people with a mental disability who have a hard time in the regular labor market.
