Bamboo Matcha Spoon (Chashaku)

The traditional bamboo spoon, or "Chashaku" in Japanese, is ideal for handling Matcha. It makes it easy to measure the desired amount, to catch the Matcha in the bottom of the jars, and is remarkably pleasant to use. Of course, Matcha can be handled with an ordinary spoon, however the bamboo spoon brings a real pleasure during the preparation, in addition to the aesthetic side. In Japan, it is customary to use the amount of about 2 bamboo spoons of Matcha to prepare a drink. The bamboo is shaped by hand under a jet of steam.
