A classic style that retains a certain originality thanks to its thick molded sole and its side colored band. Designed and created responsibly, it will easily find its place in your urban, modern and committed wardrobe. Its illustrated label references the Sumatran jungle, an ecosystem that MEEKO humbly helps protect through the #STEPCLOSER impact program. Detailed composition: Vegan, bio-sourced and recycled sneakers. -Appleskin (apple waste + polyurethane) - Recycled nylon (Seaqual fiber made from recycled ocean plastic) - Recycled polyester (laces, lining, illustrated label and insole) - Recycled rubber and natural rubber (sole) Design & production: Sneakers designed in France. 100% made in Europe. Production workshop located in Guimarães (Porto region, Portugal). Exclusively European suppliers (Portugal, Spain, Italy). The KIBOKO was designed using a thoughtful design approach. The objective is to provide a response to each of the four main factors affecting fashion's impact on biodiversity: animal exploitation, exploitation of limited natural resources (forests, water), pollution and the use of fossil fuels. Respect for living things: After having studied in depth the main factors of impact of sneakers on living things, we provide appropriate responses: No animal material Recycled, bio-sourced and traceable materials (not from deforestation) Short circuit - assembly workshop in Portugal. Italian, Spanish and Portuguese suppliers Workshop and sole supplier powered by solar panels (> 80%) End-of-life recycling program The carbon footprint associated with this sustainable model is 6kg of CO₂ compared to 15 to 20kg for a pair of classic sneakers. Our committed #STEPCLOSER model Our commitments as a brand begin with our products and continue through the #STEPCLOSER program that we created at the beginning of 2021. We allocate 30% of our profits to this program through which we support local initiatives to protect endangered wildlife. Wearing our sneakers helps us strengthen our concrete impact on the ground!
