 Taragüi is one of the best-selling Yerba mate brands in Argentina, and the name represents the province of Corrientes.The province of Corrientes (in Guarani: Taragui Tetãmini) is a province in northeastern Argentina, whose capital is the city of Corrientes.The province was formerly inhabited by the Guarani Indians.   They called it “Taraguüí”, a word meaning “lizard” in Guarani. Taraguï is prepared by Las Marías (Navajas family, owner of Las Marías since 1924), producer of Yerba Mate.
