This bronze bowl pendant is handmade, each piece is unique. It was created by Alain Soré, artist in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso). It is the shell of peanuts, and depending on the model, there are two to three peanuts inside. Nature decides! The peanuts made of solid bronze have a great feel on your keychain. And they are uniquely beautiful! Working with bronze is a traditional craft in Burkina Faso. The term bronze refers to various alloys based on copper, zinc, lead and tin, the proportions of which vary. Today the bronze comes from the recycling of old fittings, such as taps or parts from air conditioning systems. The artist first creates a wax sculpture, which is covered with a sand mixture of clay and dung and dried. The mold is then boiled, the wax melts and escapes through the holes. The molten alloy is poured and takes the place of the wax. Once cooled, the mold is broken to remove the sculpture and make the final touches. Each piece is therefore unique. Length: approx. 5 cmWeight: approx. 30 gMade and fairly traded in Burkina Faso, West Africa.
