Christmas decorations "Proud Camel" from the MADE51 project (UNHCR)

Made by Syrian refugee women living in Jordan.   The camel is a symbol of endurance and strength, qualities essential for the harsh life in a desert climate.    This product is part of a beautiful Christmas decorations collection from Made 51 and is lovingly made by craftsmen in refugee camps in 16 countries around the world.    Each piece reflects the refugees' stories, traditions and craft techniques. This makes them a special gift during the Christmas season.    MADE51 was launched by UNHCR, the United Nations refugee agency.   UNHCR is committed to protecting the rights of refugees and building a better future for refugees, displaced people and stateless people.
