Wooden fraction puzzle

This is a classic Montessori fraction learning material, Grimm’s fraction shapes. Set consists of 3 puzzle frames with shapes: circles, squares, and triangles. Each shape is split up into fractions: half, third, quarter. This material allows a child to visualize what fraction is, and how half a circle is different from a quarter. This material helps children notice subtle differences between elements, create concrete, visual concept of fractions through hands-on experience, and helps with spatial reasoning, helps with executive function training - the game requires persistence. This material can also be used as stencil for tracing. To use: help your child locate the right place for the element in the frame, add and subtract as you go. This puzzle is made out of wood and painted with child-safe non-toxic paints.
