The “little heroes” impress with their unique character and fit perfectly into your living room and office as a stylish accessory. As exceptional design objects, they are also ideal as gifts.
The Idea
My name is Tino Nitschke, I work as a freelance graphic designer, and I pursue my artistic ambitions both professionally and privately. I began to engage with painting and graphics at an early age and have since tried out various art styles.
In the mid-1990s, a series of large-format acrylic paintings was created. These were presented as part of an exhibition in a Berlin gallery. The centerpiece of the vernissage was a Madonna with a cigar child in her arms. This larger-than-life cardboard figure caught the attention of guests in the gallery window. Later, the idea arose to create an entire ensemble of figures in this style. These art figures were shown in various galleries under the title “Parque Infantil”.
Downsizing: The revival started in 2020. Painted cardboard figures have now been turned into smaller versions made of acrylic glass. The design has been further developed and the portfolio has been expanded to include new motifs.
With their symbolism, the little heroes speak a universal language – and each figure tells its own story. I found inspiration for the creation of these little heroes, among other things, on my numerous trips to Latin America. It is the play with shapes, colors and symbols that creates the visual appeal and unmistakable character of the “my little heroes” collection.
The Categories
My collection includes four different categories:
Art Figurines – Figurines with a Plexiglas base, printed with a motif on one side.
These extraordinary artistic figures depict diverse characters. Whether “Madonna”, the “Luxuary Boneman” or “El Santo” – each one is unique.
The contours of these figures are cut from 5 mm thick, transparent acrylic glass and glued into a frosted white base. The image motif is applied to the back of the acrylic glass body using foil printing technology. This gives the figure a corresponding depth effect, protects the motif from damage, and guarantees long-lasting brilliance of the colors.
These figures are limited to 100 pieces per motif and will be shipped including a certificate.
An illuminated base can be ordered optionally with the figure. These are described in more detail under the extra category “Light Bases”.
Decorative figures – 3D-looking figures made of colored, partially fluorescent Plexiglas, in two or more parts, can be plugged together or combined. glued to the base.
Decorative figures look like miniaturized sculptures. The translucent material gives the figure a playful lightness.
These figures are put together from two or more parts. For this purpose, slots are milled into the 3 mm thick acrylic glass bodies. There are also suitable light bases for this product category, which can be purchased optionally. For details see category “Light bases”.
Pictures with light – homogeneously illuminated wall picture, LED panel with snap frame
A picture with light draws the viewer's attention and functions like a window into another dimension. Illuminated murals stand out well from the background, especially in dimly lit rooms. With their radiant presence, they appear very striking and iconic.
The LED panels have a silver anodized snap frame. The image motifs can therefore be easily exchanged at any time. Thanks to the included anti-flex aperture, the subject is clearly visible from all angles, regardless of light or sunlight. In addition, the LED light frames are characterized by a long service life and low power consumption. In short, a product that makes customers happy!
Light pictures are made to order, therefore the time for production and delivery (within Germany) can be up to. 2 weeks.

Extra Category: Illuminated Bases
Illuminated bases showcase the little heroes in the right light. They are a nice gimmick for the art and decorative figures from the collection and can be purchased optionally. The light bases are available in round and square versions to match the respective figure.
Decorative figures made of fluorescent acrylic glass look particularly good when illuminated. A cross slot embedded in the round light base ensures that the figures stand securely.
The illuminated bases are made of 3 mm thick, frosted white translucent acrylic glass. They are equipped with bright and energy-saving LED lamps. The supplied power cable (230 V) has a length of approx. 1.40 meters, and is equipped with an on/off switch.
The light bases are handmade by a company from the Ore Mountains.
