Need More Sneaker grew out of our greatest passion – you guessed it – sneakers! Growing up around hip-hop, graffiti and basketball, we always wanted to have the freshest kicks. For us they were more than just shoes, more than leather, suede and mesh on a rubber sole. We would spend our afternoons gazing at the sneaker wall of our local sporting goods store, saving up what little money we had for that one pair that made us feel like our idols. But one was never enough, we always needed more.
As artists and illustrators, we want to pay homage to those sneakers – the ones we have and the ones we are still looking for. We produce our art prints ourselves in our studio in Münster, Germany with a printer, that we lovingly call Basquiat. Using pure pigment inks to print RGB with 11 colours on museum quality papers from the Ilfort Gallery Fine Art range, the high conservation properties and first-class lightfastness means that our prints last up to 50 years.
