All fish are just waiting to be prepared in gravlax: salmon, trout, meagre, sea bass, pollock or even mullet... As long as they are ultra-fresh, they lend themselves perfectly to this gentle and fragrant marinating method. Gravlax is a traditional Scandinavian specialty of marinated raw fish. Soft, melting, subtly aromatic, it offers an elegant alternative to smoked fish, to be served in thin slices or on toast. Our house blend reinterprets this Nordic tradition with a mixture of crushed spices: fennel, coriander, pink berries and dill seeds. Each seed is chosen for its freshness and aromatic intensity. This blend was designed to enhance raw fish, without masking its finesse. Fennel seed, with its aniseed sweetness, blends perfectly with the richness of the fish. ­ The fresh, lemony coriander seed balances the whole thing. ­ Pink berries add a floral and colorful touch. ­ Finally, dill seed, a staple in Scandinavian tradition, offers a vegetal freshness with a slightly minty note, which energizes the dish and recalls the great Nordic spaces. Everything is crushed by hand in our workshop, to preserve the essential oils of the spices and guarantee maximum aromatic expression. No added sugar, no additives, 100% natural, this blend allows you to create an authentic, elegant and easy-to-prepare homemade gravlax.
