Nutley's organic cotton drawstring mesh bags are a greener alternative to plastic supermarket vegetable and produce bags. A kind of fresh veg version of the bag for life, the bags can be used to weigh out your loose produce, then can be re-used for your next shopping trip. Machine washable, quick-dry, breathable and so much more accommodating and flexible than plastic, the bags are also brilliant for storing potatoes, onions, garlic, and root veg. They're happy in the salad drawer of the fridge, too. Because they allow so much air to circulate, they're also ideal for hanging up and drying chillies, herbs and newly dug onions, shallots, and garlic. Being a natural cotton fibre, they will of course biodegrade naturally when their time is up, helping to reduce the binfuls of polythene and plastic waste we're disposing of daily. Of course, they don't have to be just for food.
