Concrète by Objet Béton – Raw concrete objects, handmade in Aveyron
I'm Ingrid, creator of the Concrète by Objet Béton brand.
I fell in love with this raw, irregular, and unique material.
In our small family workshop, we explore raw materials and transform concrete into decorative objects, combining clean lines and mineral textures.
We work on a small scale to guarantee quality, originality and respect for time, nature and materials.
Concrète is a young brand of concrete decorative objects, born from a passion for raw materials and manual work.
Each piece is handcrafted in my workshop in Aveyron, with the greatest care.
30 days are necessary for slow drying in a bag which will reveal the final colors of the object.
Then I sand and apply 2 coats of protection to each of the pieces.
The concrete is tinted throughout using natural pigments, for an authentic and unique finish.
It is only when the object is removed from the mold that the final appearance is revealed: random nuances, small air bubbles and unique textures tell the story of each object. The flaws become the charm of each unique piece.
I select my raw materials carefully, in an eco-responsible approach.
All the pieces are then sanded, patinated and protected with a varnish, to combine durability and aesthetics.
The Concrète style combines industrial design, clean lines and soft natural tones, for a timeless decoration full of character.
