The most significant stages of our journey: from Chic Bazar to Stefi Illuminazione Srl
We started writing our story in 1982 and have not stopped since then. Ours is not just the story of a company journey, it is a family story.
Chapter number one features Stefania Berti and Nazzareno Mucci, our founding fathers, as protagonists. They are the ones who, at a very young age, gave life to Chic Bazar, a small but ambitious entrepreneurial project linked to the sale and artisanal assembly of lamps.
They desired, invested and believed in the first Cascina laboratory so much so that in 1985 they began an important new chapter: they opened a small showroom. Two years later, in 1987, two other significant events took place: the hiring of the first employee and the birth of Giacomo, who would take his first steps within the company... in the true sense of the word.
At the end of the 80s the commercial activity prospered and the collaboration of a greater number of employees became necessary. In fact, the right path is taken, both the number and importance of customers grows and, consequently, the production of lamps also begins to have a continuous growth curve. Here the company expands its warehouse and opens a retail point of sale.
In the following years the goals achieved multiplied, thanks to the devotion and passion that has always fueled the company's work and also thanks to the experience that allows it to be able to intercept and interpret its market with its changes, as well as to carry out the better choices.
One of these is the transformation into an LLC. In 2007 we were born as Stefi Illuminazione and we position ourselves as the main players in the Italian interior lighting sector. Thus begins one of the most important chapters, full of new challenges and objectives.
We have brilliantly overcome many of them, we are working on others and we are sure that there will be more to come. The dedication we put in is always maximum, as is the study of market needs and the design of new models and collections of lamps.
We are proud of the path we have taken, of the seriousness and professional honesty that is recognized in us, but we are also proud of being a solid group and of representing a family reality.
Yes, because after graduating in computer engineering for business management, Giacomo decided to follow his parents in their life project. Growing up among lamps and light bulbs, his first official mission in Stefi Illuminazione was to perform an IT miracle: computerizing the systems. Therefore, since 2012, logistics operations have unquestionably become more streamlined and all work has been revolutionized.
Following in the footsteps of her parents and brother was Giulia. Starting from 2019, the "little one of the family" also brings her precious contribution to the company, taking care of everything related to graphics and marketing.
The choices made over time have led us to sell mainly using online channels, but our reality is always linked to the territory that gave us birth, which saw us born and grow. Today we have our headquarters in Pontedera in a 3500 m2 warehouse, where together with our 15 employees we create, photograph, package, label, ship, call, answer emails... it's our home.
We would like to open the doors again, we have a draft ready for one of the future chapters: the opening of a new showroom. We can't wait to start writing it!
