Design rattan chair SILLON

Designed by Guillaume Delvigne for Orchid Edition, the SILLON chair highlights one of the typical attributes of rattan furniture, the work of seat and back upholstery in fine parallel strips. 

Reminiscent of the visual rhythm of a Zen garden raked into curves, the name "furrow" emerged naturally. "I wanted to play with the flexibility of rattan by emphasizing a covering in fine canes which echoes the exterior contour and becomes a real pattern. "Guillaume Delvigne "Guillaume Delvigne's work immediately appealed to us because we felt a desire to build rattan furniture and nothing but rattan. 

Guillaume used all the by-products made from rattan cane: woven cord like baskets, marquetry for flat areas reminiscent of floor mats... 

The in-depth study of traditional models made it possible to immediately create solid structures with innovative shapes.

 I immediately loved the SILLON chair because it was unlike any other. 

It is compact, light, stackable and very solid.
