Japanese sake with red rice - Asamurasaki

Asamurasaki sake owes its name to this variety of red rice cultivated since the beginning of the 20th century, which naturally gives it its color. Discover an original and unique sake, with delicate sweet and bitter flavors. This sake with its original color will never cease to surprise you! On the palate, its aromas of red fruits, coated in sweetness, are intriguing. This very original result is due as much to the ingredients as to the genius of the master brewer. Asamurasaki rice contains a high concentration of anthocyanins, pigments well known to wine lovers. Its color is thus obtained by maceration. Its sweetness is due to a deliberate overdose of koji rice (rice whose starch has been transformed into sugar). Asamurasaki makes a perfect dessert sake, but it also works wonderfully with poultry or cheese. The sommelier's opinion "This sake contains polyphenols!
